McGuire is Accountant of the Year
Belfast man, Brian McGuire, announced as ACCA Ireland Accountant of the Year

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) which has over 1,500 professional and student members across Northern Ireland has announced that the Belfast based accountant, Brian McGuire has been named ‘ACCA Ireland Accountant of the Year’.
A former President of ACCA Ulster Branch, Brian has been a member of the global accountancy body since 1975. He founded his own accountancy firm McGuire and Farry over thirty years ago which has grown to become one of Northern Ireland’s largest ACCA firms employing over 20 people.
Commenting at the event, Brian McGuire, said, “This Award is not only recognition for the great work of everyone at McGuire and Farry but also the whole ACCA family within Northern Ireland.
“There is no doubt that the difficult economic climate places an extra onus on the role of the accountant to ensure that they support businesses to weather the storm and I believe the ACCA profession within Northern Ireland has shown real leadership and resolve to deliver for their clients.”
Brian sits on ACCA’s UK business law, disciplinary and regulatory committees. He is also an ACCA representative on the Working Together initiative with HM Revenue & Customs, as well as current Treasurer of the ACCA Ulster branch.
