Resort Named Best British Wedding Venue while Manager Scoops Top Industry Award

Galgorm's Banqueting Manager, Andrew Jamieson (pictured), has been hailed Food & Beverage Manager of the Year at the local Janus Awards, the Oscars of the hospitality industry which highlight and promote excellence in Northern Ireland.

Galgorm Resort & Spa has had its status as Ireland’s number one wedding venue reinforced with the recent winning of wedding TV’s Regional Best British Wedding Venue, beating off stiff competition from many top venues. In addition, the Resort’s Banqueting Manager, Andrew Jamieson, has been hailed Food & Beverage Manager of the Year at the local Janus Awards, the Oscars of the hospitality industry which highlight and promote excellence in Northern Ireland.

In a competition organised by Wedding TV (the UK’s favourite wedding channel which attracts over 748,000 viewers per month) whereby the public vote for their favourite wedding venue, Galgorm Resort & Spa was selected as a Regional Winner for its lush parkland, dramatic views of the River Maine and stunning waterfall, calling it a “dream wedding location”. It also highlighted the hotel’s Great Hall, which seats up to 300 guests, as oozing charm and sophistication while also being indulgent and relaxing.

Adding to the Resort’s awards collection and supporting its reputation as providing the highest level of service, Galgorm’s Conference & Banqueting manager, Andrew Jamieson, was selected as The Institute of Hospitality’s Food & Beverage Manager of the Year and was honoured at the recent Janus Awards which are now in their fifteenth year. Andrew acts as head of the team which manages all of Galgorm’s weddings and was selected above other industry professionals for his enthusiasm, innovative attitude and strong work ethic.
