Northern Ireland’s first ever project management company dedicated to organising events in a socially and environmentally responsible way.

Intriguingly named Flock, this new venture is planning to support businesses in the emerging Green sector through utilising the skills and abilities of a number of small businesses based in the successful social enterprise building, Blick Studios.

Flock is the brainchild of Studio Manager, Christine James, who formed a strategic alliance with established Green event consultant Aly McElroy Jones.

Speaking at the unveiling of their new website, Christine said, “Blick Studios is the home to a number of small creative businesses from web design, to TV production to marketing and PR and as such we have a fantastic skill base to call upon to ensure that Flock will be able to deal with a vast array of jobs, all of which we will deliver in an efficient and environmentally friendly way.”

The environmental theme reflects the emergence of the number of social enterprises and eco and green businesses.  Aly McElroy Jones, who has been working extensively within this growing sector stated, “Flock is a company that has the protection of our environment and the development of local business at the heart of its aims and objectives.

And Flock has already been successful in securing some notably ‘Green’ clients, none more so than the CTC who have retained Flock’s services with a view to running a ‘fashionable’ cycling event.

“CTC is the largest cycling membership organisation in the UK and Ireland and as such we have a very strong environmental policy.  We wanted to appoint a young, dynamic company who shared our vision and who had an understanding of the benefits of new technologies and Flock certainly fits the bill.  This event will show cycling as an economic, environmentally-friendly and fashionable way to travel”, stated Tom McClelland from CTC.

As well as first rate event management Flock will also be able to offer its clients creative marketing and branding and highly effective PR and social media marketing in the most efficient and environmentally friendly way possible.  Blick Studios is supported by the Department for Culture Arts & Leisure, through the Arts Council for Northern Ireland’s Creative Industries Fund.
