Derry Chamber appoints new chief executive
The Board of the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Sinead McLaughlin to the position of Chief Executive
Sinead brings with her a wealth of management experience having worked within a variety of business sectors over a number of years.The President Jim Sammon said “Sinead is the former Business Operations Manager of this Chamber and has more recently been Acting CE. Sinead brings great energy and talent to the Chamber and I have no doubt that with her input as CE that the Chamber will grow and flourish in the years ahead.”
Sinead says “I will have a strong commercial focus and my central and most important strength is my commitment to our members. My key priority is to represent our members’ best interests. I have a great deal of experience in the provision of valuable services to our powerful business network. I will also ensure that members become more involved in programmes and activities in order to ensure maximum value “.
The new Chief Executive indicated that she is looking forward to building upon existing partnerships. “I am keen to develop further strategic relations with our key stakeholders and other business alliances throughout Ireland. I hope to contribute to these business alliances in an effort to identify and address issues which will support positive economic development and business growth.
Chamber President concluded “there are many challenges ahead but with a strong Board, strong CE and strong proactive Members we can make a positive impact for all the businesses in the region.”
